Elizabeth Tinkham is a dynamic board member, Technology Sr. Managing Director, and professor
whose career bridges the intersection of digital transformation, global business, and enterprise growth. She has led businesses from $800M to $6B with over 5,500 FTEs and has advised several VC-backed mid-stage technology firms on enterprise growth, GTM strategies, and partnerships with global systems integrators.
Liz currently serves as an independent board member at ZS Associates, a global healthcare
technology consulting firm. She recently served on the board of Atos (NYSE: AEXAY) as Lead Director,
Nom/Gov Chair for the $2B multinational IT services company. She is a lead independent board
member at Particle.io, a full-stack IoT company, and a board member of Athena Alliance, a SaaS
executive education and networking platform. Prior, she served on the board of Headspin.io, which
sold to PartnerOne, and as Board Chair of Washington STEM, where she guided CEO succession and
championed equity in STEM education.
Recently, she wrapped up the Leadership and Society Initiative Fellowship at the University of
Chicago, where she focused on the expansion of national service for youth in the United States. She
has since been appointed to their advisory board. Prior, Liz spent over three decades at Accenture,
where she advanced to Senior Managing Director, led the firm’s largest client (Microsoft), and
doubled revenues from $3B to $6B while increasing profit margins by 25%. She also served as Global
& North American Lead for the Communications, Media, and Technology practice and drove $800M+
in growth and advising clients on global expansion. Recognized for her straightforward leadership
and inclusive approach, Liz has consistently inspired collaboration across executives and client teams
to navigate change and deliver results. While with Accenture, she interviewed Hillary Clinton for the
Accenture Women’s Leadership Forum.
Liz served as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business for
nearly a decade, where she taught consulting, multicultural marketing, and nonprofit board
governance. Her courses engaged hundreds of students, created tangible business and community
impact, and generated $240M in revenue and over 200,000 jobs for local enterprises. She continues
to coach executives and boards on leadership, governance, and enterprise transformation.
Liz holds a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University and an
Executive MBA from IMD. She has also completed executive certifications from MIT Sloan in IoT, AI,
and Blockchain. She has received awards from The Ohio State University College of Engineering and
the Gamble Curriculum Award for Innovation in Teaching from UW. She is an accomplished speaker
on digital transformation, leadership, and board governance and hosted the Podcast “Third Act with
Liz Tinkham” from 2020 to 2022. Outside of her professional endeavors, Liz is an avid golfer, skier,
and adventurous traveler who has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, hiked the Camino de Santiago, and
trekked Patagonia’s O-route. She enjoys spending her free time with her three adult children.
