I knew that I was going to have an impact when I was asked to be the subject of a business school case study on entrepreneurship!

I was approached by a fellow Stanford Graduate School of Business alum who was teaching at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business and wanted to develop a case study about my journey of co-founding a tech startup. I met with a case study writer who asked me everything (and I do mean everything) about my background, career, successes, failures and current challenges.

Just a few weeks later, the case study was complete and I was invited to the classes where it would be discussed. It was so surreal to have my professional career put under the microscope, but ultimately worth that vulnerability to have meaningful conversations with students about my path and the lessons learned along the way. Of course, the gender-related issues were the source of the most animated dialog!

I was thrilled to be invited back to guest lecture over several years to update my case study and continue to meet and encourage new students exploring similar journeys.
