Tammy grows and scales businesses with a focus on employees thriving. It is through extensive experience with disruptive technology, data security, and enterprise software that she brings a compelling combination of technical aptitude and strong business acumen. She is a transformative go-to-market executive and leader who brings 25+ years in enterprise software, along with deep experience in data privacy and security, including encryption, tokenization, regulations, and data protection. Tammy’s leadership and deep command of technology allows her to see the market, position disruptive solutions for adoption and growth, while fundamentally changing the way complex problems are solved. Her expertise spans SaaS, on-premises, and hybrid models, where she led strategy and teams who delivered four disruptive enterprise software companies – from $0 to over $2B outcomes.
Tammy has designed, led and performed in all aspects of go-to-market including sales direct, OEM, SaaS, mid-market, and strategic, and takes this pursuit on a global scale – launching companies from $0 to $10M, and all the way through $100M. Through her leadership style, she empowers her team to “remove the mask” and connect with people and customers through the power of storytelling, with joy, love and authenticity. It is from the profits of this highly successful approach for which Tammy was chosen as the VP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations for Data Security at HPE (merged into Micro Focus) – after taking Voltage through initial launch to acquisition by HP. After the acquisition, she transitioned as the heart of the company culture in integrating the company into HP, HPE, and later Micro Focus. She recently re-joined the Micro Focus team in early 2020 to help design and lead the creation of CyberRes, a growth enterprise software company focused on cyber resilience where she leads the Data Privacy & Protection portfolio today.
Tammy is a leader of strategic enterprise, channel, SMB and OEM sales teams globally. Her oversight encompassed all global revenue for the products in the division at HPE, where her unique approach grew sales from $0 to over $250M. For fiscal year 2016, half of the seven figure earners were on her team – when her team only consisted of 1/50th of the entire HPE sales team. Not only did over 90% of her team exceed quota, but she also retained 100% of original transition team and continued to attract top global talent.
Tammy has over 17 years of experience as an officer in companies where she was responsible for conveying the global outlook on sales, revenue and go-to-market strategy to the board. She has participated in over 60 board meetings, enhancing a board with her sales experience, which she has observed is often underrepresented in the board composition.
Tammy was hand-selected by the board of Voltage Security, Inc., as VP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations an officer in the company, following the largest credit card data breach for Heartland Payment Systems. She co-designed the solution and GTM strategy that expanded Voltage into Payments, generating $100M+ in new revenue – rebounding Heartland from the fall to $3 a share to $103 per share, enabling the sale to Global Payments for $4.3B+ in 2016. Through her growth and leadership tenacity, she expanded into EMEA, LatAm, Canada and APJ, fueling 25% revenue growth, while overseeing a $40M budget and 270 employees. Additionally, Tammy built a Global System Integrator channel, providing influence of sourcing over 70% of the enterprise deals.
Tammy led Series B fundraising and created the go-to-market expansion into SaaS – bringing a $3M annual deal to launch the cloud offering. She also designed and implemented the OEM strategy that made their solution the #1 OEMed email encryption solution in the market, providing access to the mid-market and SMB space without having to expand the team or market to these companies. Previously, at Wakesoft, Inc., Tammy was recruited by the CEO, to lead as VP of Worldwide Sales margin, of Versata, Inc. Through her multi-dimensional leadership, while building a high-performing team from zero to the acquisition by Hartford Insurance, Tammy also closed the first F500, the first 7 – and 8-figure deal, catapulting them to IPO ahead of schedule.
Tammy is a board member of Storyleaders, an organization that transforms through the power of authenticity, vulnerability, and connection to perform further than where they thought possible. She holds a STEM, dual Bachelor’s degree in both Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Tammy has been an avid basketball player for over 30 years and to create balance, she enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
