About this event

Well-rounded executives with highly honed leadership skills make the most effective board directors and provide the fastest time to value as they onboard. Rather than focusing narrowly on securing “X” number of board seats in “Y” time period, take a broader approach and invest in broadening and sharpening your skills as an executive leader.   What kind of skills? - Articulate and communicate your value proposition - Operate with presence and gravitas - Hone your executive communications skills - Identify your leadership skills and values to handle difficult situations or people - Easily resolve conflict, have hard conversations, or mediate disputes   What benefits will you see? - You’ll develop thought leadership and credibility - You’ll establish a reputation and be considered and referred for positions - You’ll increase your chances of securing board seats when you interview, and reduce TTV when you onboard   In this salon, Athena Executive Coach Tissa Richards will share the importance of approaching your board journey from an intentional, broad perspective. You’ll learn how to build executive leadership and communications skills to increase your board readiness. And, you’ll understand how sharpening these skills benefits both your board journey and your executive career.
