About this event

Give (and get) the most impact from your board role from the start. Join experienced board director Bath Lewis (who is currently Chair of the Thrivent Federal Credit Union Board) to learn how to be proactive to make your pre-board acceptance due diligence and onboarding experience a success. She will share ideas on researching a board opportunity to determine whether the organization and board are a good fit in terms of values and culture. She will also provide a checklist to ensure your success through the questions you ask, the organizational documents you review, the engagement you have with both executives and other board members, and your own deportment. If you are a member of a board concerned about smooth integration of new members, you’ll learn how to develop a carefully crafted onboarding plan to help them and the board as a whole.
